    Rory McKnight

Rory completed his BSc (Hons) Human Sciences and MSc Chiropractic at the UK based Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in 2001. After 2 years of private practice in the UK he moved to the warmer shores of Australia where he has developed his skills in a number of locations including the metropolitan areas of Sydney and Wollongong but also 7 years of a more rural setting in Hamilton, Western Victoria.

Following the birth of his first baby boy born in May of 2017, Rory enjoyed an extended break introducing the new family member to his international relatives. It was on his return Rory joined a practice in Newcastle in December of 2017 before starting his own practice at Impact Gym, Erina in February 2019. He looks forward to getting to know the Central Coast and it's beautiful surroundings.

Clinically Rory enjoys treating many various musculoskeletal conditions particularly low back and neck pain, headaches and sciatica. With nearly 20 years of experience Rory has successfully treated a myriad of challenging conditions and enjoys helping people back to an active recovery, empowering them to better control their condition

Rory has a strong background in endurance sports having completed many ultra-marathons, most notably a 100 mile event across the Great North Walk trail in 2009. Although continuing at ‘shorter’ distances understands the many niggling injuries and challenges regarding these events. This has led to a strong influence in his choice of continued development education to master the treatment of many common sporting injuries including the development of sport specific, individually based rehabilitative exercise programs.

It is his belief that a full recovery requires the return of normal functional movement patterns to reduce the recurrence of old injuries. Certified in the use of the Functional Movement Screen (FMS) and the Selective Functional Movement Screen (SFMA) Rory can help develop a stronger and better balanced body.

Rory is currently completing further training in Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilisation (IASTM), dry needling and Mulligan’s Mobility With Movement (MWM) programs.
